Screening and Prevention Intro

The Screening and Prevention Section aims to provide information and resources to enable physicians to:
  • Understand screening tools and tests;
  • Effectively screen for inborn and acquired conditions;
  • Appropriately intervene when screening uncovers a problem;
  • Recognize the populations and identify patients at-risk for preventable conditions;
  • Initiate and monitor preventive interventions for at-risk patients; and
  • Collaborate with community agencies and other professionals in screening and prevention measures.
