Screening and Prevention Intro
The Screening and Prevention Section aims to provide information and resources to enable physicians to:
- Understand screening tools and tests;
- Effectively screen for inborn and acquired conditions;
- Appropriately intervene when screening uncovers a problem;
- Recognize the populations and identify patients at-risk for preventable conditions;
- Initiate and monitor preventive interventions for at-risk patients; and
- Collaborate with community agencies and other professionals in screening and prevention measures.
